Sven Van de Wynkele, CHRO: ‘The corona crisis has been challenging the resilience and mental wellbeing of our employees for over 13 months now. Many people feel uncertain or stressed because of the Covid-19 pandemic and the ongoing restrictions because of that. Now it is more important than ever to speak up and listen up about mental health & wellbeing and not to keep issues for yourself. At BAM we feel a high responsibility to facilitate the dialogue with and between colleagues to to feel safe to speak up about mental health & wellbeing. It starts with having regular conversations together about how everyone is doing. We keep an eye on each other and we care for each other. If you or one of your colleagues need support, you can trust that we will help you.’

    COVID-19 approach on IKEA

    19 October 2020

The Ikea project in Jakarta installed a sanitisation chamber for the project. This represents a safe protection and entry for everyone accessing the project. This is in additional to the thermal cameras already in place. This initiative coupled with social distancing requirements implementation and the periodic sterilisation of the project have resulted in a relatively low number of cases. Well done to all involved.
